At our most recent MDA Board Meeting, Malcolm Knox, AMVIC CEO, presented a summary of their metrics for the most recent year-end. Below is a summary of those results:
- AMVIC Issued 7,583 business licenses and 10,303 salesperson registrations.
- AMVIC received 2,391 complaints from consumers, of which 1,583 were related to new and used vehicle sales.
- 207 additional complaints were from used only sales.
- 211 complaints related to service and repair issues.
- 207 additional complaints were from used only sales.
- AMVIC conducted 686 investigations, of which 296 related to new and used vehicle sales.
- 94 additional complaints were from used sales only.
- 70 complaints related to service and repair issues.
- 94 additional complaints were from used sales only.
- There were 70 “unlicensed business” files investigated.
- Over the year, AMVIC conducted 402 inspections of licensed businesses.
