Compliance Challenges – Easy Resolutions
At a recent AMVIC Meeting, we identified a few more “simple” resolutions that will assist members in avoiding some of the issues we are seeing in recent inspections.
Advertising on Member Websites – As we return to a more normal advertising and event promotion cadence, it is important to remember that if you include notice of a special or promotion on your website, all of the normal disclosures are required. This is considered an advertisement and must meet all of the points summarized in the AMVIC Advertising Checklist. (https://www.amvic.org/business/advertising/ )
Sales Consultant Registrations – While it is the responsibility of the sales consultant to ensure their AMVIC License is current and associated with any dealership where they are conducting business, we are seeing several situations where the dealership has not confirmed that they are associated with the store, which is a requirement of compliance. When a sales consultant updates their dealership affiliation, an email is sent to that dealership for review and acceptance. This email is sent to the contact identified in your AMVIC Licensee Profile. Please ensure someone at the dealership is monitoring this email and responding to these confirmation requests. (visit https://www.amvic.org/ and click “login”, then choose Licensee Portal)
Warranty Documentation – Recent inspections have started to identify errors in warranty documentation compared to the information disclosed on the Bill of Sale. Please be careful to ensure that VIN’s match, contract dates align, and costing is the same between all documents.

If you have any questions regarding anything above or relating to AMVIC, please do not hesitate to contact us at the MDA Office.

Reviving Neglected Opportunities: Email marketing, social media tactics, and audience curation in the absences of cookies
|
Amidst these changes, email marketing is experiencing a resurgence, emerging as a potent tool for direct engagement. Businesses are reigniting their email campaigns with personalized, permission-based approaches to forge deeper customer connections. The inbox remains a valuable space for delivering tailored content and nurturing relationships beyond the constraints of third-party data.
Simultaneously, social media continues to thrive as a dynamic platform for brand visibility and engagement. Despite privacy concerns and algorithmic shifts, social media remains a vital channel for businesses to interact with their audience in real time. Leveraging authentic storytelling and community-building efforts, marketers are harnessing the power of social platforms to drive brand awareness and foster meaningful connections.
"In the rapidly evolving digital marketing landscape, the cookieless future is on the horizon, reshaping how businesses interact with their audience online. As tracking technologies face increasing restrictions, marketers are compelled to explore innovative strategies that prioritize privacy while maintaining effectiveness.
In this era of transition, successful digital marketing strategies will blend innovation with authenticity, navigating the cookieless landscape while capitalizing on the enduring potential of email marketing and the vitality of social media."

Radius Security: Types of Offenders and How to Combat Them
|
Securing vehicle fleets present unique challenges. The large outdoor spaces and high-value assets make these sites attractive targets for criminals. Understanding the types of offenders who may target your site can help in devising effective security measures. Typically, these sites face threats from three types of offenders: Opportunistic, Disorganized, and Organized.
|
|
|
Opportunistic offenders are the most common but also the easiest to deter. Often juveniles or habitual offenders, these individuals seek easy targets and are typically driven by opportunity rather than premeditation. Their activities can range from nuisance behaviour to more severe crimes like theft, vandalism, and arson.
